"Unprepared patients who try to undergo Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy (HBOT) can suffer increased risks of significant side effects. For this reason, we have developed a supplement preparation pro-gram for the patient and the chaperones before they undergo this type of therapy.

I’ve had the experience of working for 20+ years at Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy centers for critically ill patients. During this time I was able to concentrate on both the benefits and possible side effects and risks of this form of treatment.

The goal is to obtain the benefits while minimizing any undesirable effects of HBOT therapy. Oxygen and pressure bring many changes within the body, and many systems are affected. Protecting those systems is essential, and we provide our patients with recommendations for supplements to buffer undesirable effects, and supplements to support desirable ones.

Some of the areas of the body that need additional support with HBOT include the liver, the brain, the GI tract, the eyes, the immune system and detoxification. Antioxidants, minerals and amino acids such as Milk Thistle, Vitamin C, Coenzyme Q10, Vitamin E, Grape Seed Extract and Taurine gently aid in detoxification, support the liver and help blunt the risks of oxidative stress. Balancing essential minerals is important with Selenium and Zinc, which not only support detoxification but also support the immune system and the lens and retina of the eye.
